Earthquake Insurance

We see so often earthquakes happening everywhere else but here in the Northeast. However, this is a misconception because we actually have a handful of earthquakes in the Northeast every year, but usually too small for most of us to feel them.

Are we at risk as much as people who live on the West Coast? I'm sure you know the answer to that. But the fact remains we do have earthquakes and could experience one large enough to damage your home or other personal property at any time. It's important to know that a standard homeowners policy does not cover damage caused by an earthquake. However, you can request the additional coverage and in most cases have it added on your existing policy. To learn more about price and availability contact us or your local agent.
